Oremus: A Guide to Catholic Prayer - Learn, Grow Connect

Sunday Mornings, 9:20 AM – 10:00 AM or online at anytime

Join the study program that teaches you the essentials of an effective and fruitful prayer life.  Follow the Tradition of the Church and the wisdom of the saints, and learn how to express yourself to God in prayer, and how to hear his voice by watching 5-star reviewed Fr. Mark Toups DVD presentations followed by a time of discussion. Cost is $35 which includes workbook covering all the written materials: session outlines, discussion questions, daily readings, and a journal section to record your personal experiences in prayer.

The in person group began meeting on September 25 and will continue through January 22, yet there is still time to catch up using the online option and then joining in person or completing the entire course online.

Mass at a House: Prayer, Connection, Refreshments

Wednesday, November 30, 2022, 7:00 PM

Join us and experience the St. James quarterly home Mass at the home of new parishioners, Doug and Michelle Nesmith. This is a great opportunity to pray alongside your fellow parishioners in an intimate setting as we thank God for the gifts He gives in the winter season and an opportunity to beseech Him for the discipline to use these gifts in moderation. Since ancient times the Church has set aside time for each season of the year to pray against famine and disease, and to consecrate each upcoming season of the year through penitential and charitable acts, as well as praying for the souls in Purgatory. Please See Event for more details and to rsvp by November 27 if you plan to attend, so that we can prepare appropriately.
